Carpet padding is just as important, if not more than the carpet you choose. Padding, or the cushion is the foundation of every carpet installation and helps to increase the lifespan and comfort of your carpet. Most carpets call for a 7/16″ pad but that depends on the carpet fiber you choose but its important to follow the manufactures warranty pad requirements! Not doing so could forfeit your carpet warranty all together! So do your homework.
