Pattern tile is a new obsession in the interior design and remodeling community. Why? Because it’s AWESOME.
Pattern tile is one of my favorite trends to come out in some time. It can be modern, farmhouse, traditional, or vintage, along with many other looks. Change the pattern, change the look.

The Pattern Tile Trend
The rise of pattern tile is not exactly recent. Go to Italy and you’ll see pattern tile floors everywhere. It is not just a trend, it’s a timeless and classic look.
Some may give credit to Joanna Gains and her fixer upper designs to the increased popularity of pattern tile, and they’d probably be right. Joanna is an interior design powerhouse and the materials, styles, and looks that she uses in her hit show “Fixer Upper” have shaped the remodeling materials industry heavily in the last several year. However, she in no way created the style.
Some may find it too busy, and if you do, then that’s totally fine. Not every style matches every taste.
The key to utilizing pattern tile in a space properly is to make sure that you incorporate simplistic items around the tile, as it’s meant to be the focal point. You also want to make sure you have a really refined color palette.

Pattern Tile Options
When looking for pattern tile, you’re going to find several options that you can choose from. The first is material. You’ll typically find ceramic or porcelain options, and often terra cotta.
Next, you’ll decide between hand painted tile and manufactured tile. Hand painted tile is obviously going to make it much more expensive. There is nothing wrong with using manufactured printed tile, especially if you want to save money. It won’t add a ton of value to your home by going with a hand painted option.
